The Linux Learning Collaborative is a partnership between
York Technical College and Just-in-Time Resources of
Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The purpose of this partnership is
to bring together the expertise of an industry-leading Linux
training provider with the resources of a local college
dedicated to excellence in continuing and professional
studies to provide the highest quality, most comprehensive
Linux self-study material ever produced. Our goal is to
create a world-class learning collaborative that provides IT
professionals with the best possible learning experience and
preparation leading to first level certification, content
retention and subject competency.
LPIC-1 Certification
The
Linux Professional Institute (LPI), is considered to be the
industry standard for excellence in Linux skills and
knowledge for IT professionals. They administer the LPI
first level certification exam (LPIC-1). Passing this exam
certifies the competency of IT professionals using the Linux
operating system and its associated tools. It is designed to
be distribution neutral, following the Linux Standard Base
and other relevant standards and conventions. Additional

The Linux Self-Study Course
Purpose
The Linux Self-Study course is designed to help
you pass the Linux Professional Institute’s LPIC-1 101 and
102 Certification Exams.
