Registration Begins
Using different colors can help differentiate between important dates and fun events. I would recommend using red for registration, add/drop, etc., green for courses and blue for fun socials.

June 20 Coffee House Cafe
I would keep the colors to these three and not add any additional categories. You don't want it to become too confusing. Also, using the color only in the title keeps the page's readability. Also, I inserted an extra line break at the end of each description. I helps break them up a bit.

June 11 - July 2 Nursing Skills
You may not need a description for everything, so don't feel like you have to use this space.
