Admissions Criteria

The College has defined required reading, numerical, algebra, and writing scores on the college placement tests (COMPASS and ASSET) and minimum required scores on the SAT and ACT which the College uses for course placement recommendations for specific programs. For the Associate in Public Service, major in Criminal Justice Technology, the following minimum scores have been adopted:





Writing. = 70

Wri = 41

Verbal = 480

English =  21

Reading. = 81

Reading = 42



Pre-Alg. = 54

Math = 43

Math = 540

Math = 23

Algebra 0-45

Ele-Alg. 31 




Int-Alg. 23



*SAT/ACT scores must be under 5 years old

Admission to the Criminal Justice Technology Programs requires qualifying scores on the College's placement test, or SAT or ACT, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Students may also be accepted into the criminal justice technology program on the basis of transfer credit. For transfer credit evaluation, transfer applicants must submit official transcripts from previous colleges attended which show evidence of satisfactory completion of equivalent credit course work for their specific program.

Additionally, a high school diploma or equivalent is required for admission into the criminal justice technology program since it is a requirement for employment with prospective law enforcement agencies.
