**THE CHRISTMAS EVE HOLIDAY WILL ONLY BE GRANTED IN THE EVENT THE GOVERNOR DECLARES CHRISTMAS EVE AN OFFICIAL HOLIDAY FOR STATE EMPLOYEES.

The holiday break is usually a combination of scheduled holidays, accrued annual leave, and faculty nonwork days. For the winter break  in the 2008-09 academic year, staff employees must use at least 16 hours or two (2) days of annual leave or three (3) days/24 hours of annual leave if Christmas Eve is not declared an official holiday.

If you are scheduled to work on any of the listed holidays, please notify the Human Resources Department for the appropriate credit for holiday compensatory work time.
