One year experience working under licensed contractor |

Limitations upon Licensing |
Building cannot be more than 3 stories high. Building cannot include more than 16 residential units under one roof. |

Steps for Licensure |
Complete and submit application to LLC Residential Builders Commission. Enclose experience affidavit sheet. Cahier's check or money order for $135. After receiving letter of authorization from Commission, contact PSI to schedule licensing exam |

After passing both parts of exam, Business Management and Law for Residential Contractors, candidates mail to the Commission the certificates provided by PSI, a cashier's check or money order for $110 (Licensing fee) and a $15,000 surety bond. |

Please note: If both exams are taken together, the fee is $100. If scheduled on different days or testing sessions, the fee is $200. |
