Machine Tool Technology
The Machine Tool Technology curriculum prepares the student for career opportunities in modern computer integrated manufacturing environments as machinist, tool & die makers, manufacturing process technicians, quality control technicians, CNC programmers, CNC setup and operation technician.
Students receive practical hands-on experience in machine tool labs using standard machine tool equipment and CNC equipment. This helps to train them to meet high quality standards in manufacturing intricate precision components in modern manufacturing environments. In addition, students also receive training in metallurgical heat treatment, blue print reading, GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance), and CAD/CAM systems and precision measuring instruments.
The Machine Tool Technology curriculum offers a General Technology degree program, a diploma, and an Advanced CNC Certificate program.
A comprehensive technical education is offered through various instructional methods to train student from Chester, Lancaster, and York Counties.
To achieve our mission, we design and deliver effective competency-based instruction. Our approach to organizing competency-based education is systematic yet flexible. This approach focuses on defining, in measurable terms, what students are able to learn and then evaluating how well they can perform designated tasks after instruction.
