Members Present:                 Jack Bagwell, Teresa Smith, Susan Brackett, Edwina Roseboro Barnes, Marc Tarplee, Shahram Mazhari,  Linda Bolick, Jane Fleischer, Brian Hipp, Mark Ulseth, Kimberly Starnes, Beth Blackwell, Linda Tennant, Linda Weaver-Griggs, Lori Ochsner, Denise Every

Edwina Roseboro-Barnes called the meeting to order and welcomed council members. 

Council members obtained additional information on the provisional proposals for the spring 2009 cycle.  The provisional proposals were discussed. All provisional proposals were rated acceptable.  No additional follow-up was needed for any proposals.  Two proposals were withdrawn from consideration.

The Council prioritized the fall cycle proposals as first and second priorities according to the College’s mission, goals, and budget resources for professional development.  Ms. Roseboro-Barnes will meet with Dr. Rutherford to present the Council’s recommendations on March 30 at 10a.m. and acquire his input prior to the next meeting.  

Edwina Roseboro-Barnes reiterated to the Council the importance of Return to Industry projects and ask that they encourage their faculty to participate in this type proposal.

The next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. in A-164.

The meeting adjourned at 2:45 p.m.
