Members Present:            Carolyn Stewart, Jack Bagwell,  Linda Knight, Cynde Marshall, Susan Brackett, Edwina Roseboro Barnes, Marc Tarplee, Shahram Mazhari,  Linda Bolick, Grace Saylor, Brian Hipp, Laveria Wynn, Teresa Smith

Members Absent:              Mark Ulseth, Velma Simmons

Carolyn Stewart called the meeting to order and welcomed Council members. 

Dr. Stewart announced to the group that Jack Bagwell and Alan Broyles are following up on the Office 2007 training plan and will be contacting sub-committee members with a meeting date.

Council members obtained additional information on the provisional proposals for the spring 2008 cycle.  The provisional proposals were discussed.  All of the provisional proposals were rated acceptable. 

The Council prioritized the spring cycle proposals as first and second priorities according to the College’s mission, goals, and budget resources for professional development.  Dr. Stewart will meet with Dr. Rutherford to present the Council’s recommendations and get his input prior to the next meeting.  

The next meeting will be held Monday, March 31 at 3:00 p.m. in A-164.

The meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
