MINUTES

Edwina Roseboro-Barnes called the meeting to order and welcomed Council members.
Edwina Roseboro-Barnes reported on
her meeting with Dr. Rutherford.
Dr. Rutherford approved all priority one and priority two proposals recommended
by the Council with the
understanding that all 09/10 funding be tagged as pending, based on the current
budget situation. Once more
information is known about the stimulus package and the 09/10 budget is
approved, we will proceed in determining funding for projects
in the 09/10 cycle.
Ms. Barnes asked that each representative meet individually with project
requester and make certain the terms of approval were understood.
If part of the project falls into 08/09 and the other half in 09/10, the
09/10 funding of that project is pending and may or may not be approved pending
budget status. All of the 08/09
projects were approved.
Project Award Letters, Travel Authorization Forms were given to division deans
and associate vice presidents to personally distribute to ONLY those whose
projects were approved strictly in 08/09.
Edwina Roseboro-Barnes reminded members that the date for submission of internal
course proposals is April 15th for summer cycle, July 15th
for fall cycle, and November 15th for spring cycle.
Edwina Roseboro-Barnes reminded the group that topics for the fall Master Plan
for Professional Development needs to be determined; the federal stimulus
package could delegate how the plan is developed.
This will be on the agenda at the next meeting of PDC.
