Angela's  Story

“I’ve received a good education here, and I have been respected,” Angela Hale says about her major in Automotive Technology at York Tech.  “Jim Abercrombie and Jim Currence are excellent teachers.”

 Angela and her husband would like to open up their own auto shop one day.  He laughs, saying, “I’ll do the paper work, while Angela works on the cars.”  She continues, “Ever since I was a little girl, I have taken things apart.  If I wouldn’t get into trouble for it, I did it.”  She grins, her green eyes teasing, as she talks about working on vehicles.

 For the past few months, she has been juggling work, school, and home.  Angela works at the Ford Dealership where she does minor repairs and assists customers.  She and her husband recently purchased land in Chester County.  Between changing oil, working on brakes, and fixing tires, Angela is busy pulling up old carpeting and restoring the hardwood floors.
