Felicia’s Story
Hill reads to her child and wants to be a role model for him. She does not hesitate to add that without her family’s cooperation, she would not be able to attend classes. “My mother takes care of Elisha. In fact, most of his toys are over at her house. You know, her yard looks like a playground.” Hill has been accepted into the LPN Program in Chester, and she plans to take classes toward her RN later on. She is so excited that York Technical College will be building a branch in Chester soon. “I’m grateful to the Frazer family for giving the land. I won’t have to drive so far, and maybe I won’t have to get up quite as early.” Happy about her grades and what she is learning, Hill hopes to motivate other family members to go to school. “I go home every afternoon and show my papers to my mother. “She is always there for me, and so is York Tech.” |
