I know some people might not be able to understand how important walking across that stage in that cap and gown is to someone like me, but they just don’t know the whole story.  I had to drop out of school in the 10th grade, but later got my high school diploma (no graduation ceremony).

I received my associates in Computer Science some years later, but due to a major illness (I had to have 4 operations on my head due to a tumor) I wasn’t able to participate in graduation.  I have received several certifications from York Tech (no graduation ceremony again because of ongoing recovery.  I have my MCP,MCSA, MCSE, CCNA but, alas, no graduation ceremony.

 So finally at 40 something I have within my reach what I have waited my entire life for.
