Nancy's'
Story
“I’ve
lived on Highway 274 all my life, and I worked at the Bowling Green
Spinning Company for 28 years and one week,” Nancy Morrison
explains. When the company closed, Morrison decided to do something
different. She came to York Tech and majored in Medica “It’s been an absolutely wonderful experience. I have made so many friends. In fact, any differences in agewent away after we got to know each other. We often go to lunch together and study together.” At Tech, she has maintained a 4.O average. She takes the registry exam on May the eighth, and she already has a job at Gaston Memorial Hospital. “Going from being in charge of payroll to testing blood is a 180-degree turn around,” she smiles. Family members have been very
supportive, and Morrison is looking forward to a vacation at the
Outer Banks after graduation. “Oh, I love all the lighthouses up
there, and I will probably read, relax, and do a few crafts.” She
paints lighthouses. |
