Robbie is the first person in her family to graduate from college.
When Culp, Inc.,
At York Tech, Robbie has been able to fulfill that dream. She is majoring in Office System Technology, and she has enjoyed her internships with the City of Rock Hill. “Oh, I was so scared when I first came to York Tech, but it has been a wonderful experience. I’m so glad I didn’t pass it up. My classmates and instructors have been such an inspiration, especially Ms. Paul, Ms. Hedgepeth, Ms. Gribenas, and Dr. Macdonald.” Her family members, including the faithful beagle, Bubba, have supported her efforts. Despite computer crashes and an uncooperative car on more than one occasion, Robbie has persevered. Her roundtrip mileage from Lancaster is fifty miles. Robbie is sponsored by NAFTA, and she has maintained a 3.08 average. When she’s not telling you about her classes, Robbie will fill you in on garden lore and offer tips for successful gardening. “My grandma always put a teaspoon of Epsom salts in the dirt before planting her flowers.” Indeed, gardening, learning, and family remain important to her. |
