Please read the following information before starting the application process.
About the Online Application
  • Be sure to enable pop-ups.
  • The online application consists of 8 short data entry screens.
  • All screens must be completed before the application can be submitted.
  • All fields marked with an "*" are required.
  • Click the "Previous" or "Continue" button to save keyed information.
  • Error messages will appear at the top of the page.
  • Click "View Summary" at anytime during the process to view application information.
  • Remember to click the "Submit Application" button on the last screen to complete the online application process.
  • Netscape/Mozilla users: If you are using "Tab Browsing", do NOT use the browser's navigational buttons.
  • Email Admissions Support with any problems with the on-line application.
Application Policies
Contact Information As a student, it is critical that the College be able to communicate with you regarding information which can directly affect your success. In addition to your phone number and mailing address, the College also uses e-mail for this purpose. Although you are not required to provide an e-mail address to complete your application, it is in your best interest to do so. If you do not have an e-mail address, you are strongly encouraged to sign up for an e-mail service such as Google, Yahoo, etc.

Ethnic Background
 Ethnic origin is not a factor in admission. This information is required by the Office of Civil Rights of the Department of Education to assure compliance with the Civil Rights Act.
Parental Permission Form
 Non-high school graduates under age 18 at the time of enrollment at York Technical College must obtain the signature of one parent and the secondary school official in whose school the applicant is or should be enrolled. In the case of an applicant from a home school, the permission must come from the school district or an authorized educational agency which has jurisdiction over the home school. Print the Parental Permission Form to be submitted to an Admissions Counselor.
Residency Status
 York Technical College is required to determine the residence classification of applicants in accordance with the South Carolina Code of Laws 59-112-20 available online at http://www.che400.state.sc.us.
