Students gathered in the Student Center Atrium to create wax hands. The
process was fairly simple. First students (and even a few faculty
members) dipped their hands into icy water. They then made peace signs,
fists or other designs and dipped their hands multiple times into warm
wax. When a thick wax shell had been created the hands were removed and
dipped into a barrel of color.
