Dear Parents,

Thank you for your interest in the York Technical College Child Development Center.  We are very excited about the Child Development Center which is a training lab for Early Childhood Development students at York Technical College.  If you are interested in the Child Development Center please go to the Waiting List Application, print it out and submit it along with your $10 application fee.  Your application is not considered complete without the application fee.

We believe that children learn by manipulating and interacting with their environment, and that children learn best when their educational experiences are facilitated by skilled and loving adults.  All classrooms have their own restrooms and direct access to outdoor learning areas.  Indoor as well as outdoor equipment and materials have been chosen to enhance children's individual and total development.

The Child Development Center is meeting the highest standards in regard to teacher qualifications and staff/child ratios.  The National Accreditation Standards limit the number of children we can accept in each classroom.  Therefore, early application is encouraged. 

The Child Development Center hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The Center is open 49 weeks per year.  Because training of adults is very important to us, the center is closed for staff training opportunities as well as when York Tech is closed.

Upon receipt of your application form and fee ($10.00/nonrefundable), we will place your child's name on our waiting list.  We will contact you by phone when an opening is available for your child.

Please make checks payable to York Technical College, and return to the Child Development Center.
