ROCK HILL—York Technical College has announced the appointment of Jack Bagwell to the position of dean of
learning resources.
Bagwell, who most recently served as
associate dean for leaning technologies, will assume his new
responsibilities immediately. During his 15 years with the college,
Bagwell has also served as an adjunct instructor, instructor of biology,
and the college’s instructional specialist.
Bagwell is a life-long resident of
York County. He graduated from York Comprehensive High School and earned
his B.S. and M.S. degrees in biology from Winthrop University. He is
currently working to complete his Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln.
In his new role, Bagwell will oversee
the operations of the college’s efforts related to distance learning,
instructional development, education technology, work-based learning,
the library, and the assessment center. He will also continue to lead
the college’s implementation of its Quality Enhancement Plan, a
college-wide effort to improve the critical thinking skills of students.
