York Technical College Announces Cooking Classes

September 26, 2007

ROCK HILL— For the first time in its history, York Technical College will offer cooking classes beginning October 4. The three-hour continuing education classes will cover cooking basics and are designed for novice chefs.

The courses will be taught by Herb Tesh, whose grandmother taught him the science behind cooking and how to mix ingredients to create a wonderful meal. As a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation, Tesh is frequently in demand for television appearances and cooking instruction. He has worked for many popular branded hotel chains as food and beverage director and executive chef. He has been involved in major cooking competitions and events including the World Championship of BBQ.

Tesh said, "You will walk out of the classroom and into your kitchen with new found confidence."
