College Announces New Faculty/Staff for Fall 2006

ROCK HILL—New faculty and staff for the fall
semester at York Technical College include:
Angela
Fowler
is York Tech's new financial resources director. Fowler is a
graduate of Spartanburg Technical College and has a B.S. in Accounting
from USC-Spartanburg as well as a master's in Management from Southern
Wesleyan University. She comes to the college after serving in the
financial aid office of Spartanburg Tech for more than 15 years.
Brandy
Piner, a native of Vanceboro,
N.C., has joined the York Tech staff as registrar. Piner received her
B.S. in Business Education (Professional) and master of Public
Administration degrees from East Carolina University, where she worked
in the registrar's office for seven years. While at ECU, Piner served as
VA coordinator, assistant registrar, and academic advisor.
Dahmon
King is an instructor for 3D Systems University. He has worked as an
electrical assembler, project leader, wireless service technician, and
engineer. King was born in Brooklyn, but was raised in Kershaw. He
received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from South
Carolina State University and his MBA in Technology Management from the
University of Phoenix.
Ginger
Moore
is the manager of the college's Business Administration Department and
teaches courses in marketing and management. Moore has been an adjunct
faculty member since fall 2000. She holds a master of Business
Administration degree from Winthrop University. The native New Yorker
has previously worked in insurance and finance as well as training and
development in Japan.
Regina
Clawson, who has taught at the college for the last six years as an
adjunct, joins the faculty in the Business, Computer, Arts & Sciences
division this fall. She is teaching office systems and technology
classes. Clawson holds an associate degree of Applied Science from York
Tech as well as a bachelor of Health Science degree from the Medical
University of South Carolina. She earned her MBA from Winthrop
University in 2000. Clawson previously worked for area hospitals and
physicians' offices as a radiographer.
Tom
Suggs, a native South Carolinian who spent
more than 21 years with the U.S. Air Force, is an instructor with 3D
Systems University. He holds an A.A.S. in Avionics Systems Technology, a
B.S. in Business Administration, and an M.A.S. in Aviation and Aerospace
Management as well as other certifications. He previously taught at
Aiken High School.
