Students Complete Interior Decorating Program

ROCK HILL—Eleven area residents have successfully completed the Interior Decorating Certification Program offered through the York Technical College’s Continuing Education Division. On November 16, the students will be awarded certificates at the Baxter M. Hood Continuing Education Center. Kay Phillips of Granite Falls, N.C., will be the guest speaker.

The Interior Decorating Program prepares students to work independently as interior decorators or to assist interior designers. To earn the certification, the students were required to demonstrate competencies in courses that included Space Planning for Residential Interiors; Textiles: Windows, Walls, and Floors; Color Lighting and Presentation; Business Policies, Practices and Procedures, and the History of Furniture and Architecture.
