York Tech's Trump Named Director of Energy Resource Center

ROCK HILL—Rodney H. Trump has been appointed Director of York Technical College’s Energy Resource Center. The center’s mission is to strengthen South Carolina’s energy, environmental and economic vitality through the use of renewable energy sources, energy conservation, energy efficiency, and the use of alternative fuel vehicles. Trump, who has been employed at the college since 1985, will continue to serve as Associate Dean of Industrial Technologies while providing management oversight and leadership for the Energy Resource Center.

 

A native of Faribault, Minnesota, Trump attended the University of Minnesota under a U.S. Navy ROTC scholarship. Upon graduating in 1973 with a B.S. in Business Management, he entered flight school and was designated a Naval Aviator in 1974. In 1984, Trump received an Associate in Occupational Technologies with a major in Heating and Air Conditioning from York Technical College and earned his MBA from Winthrop University in 2001.
