About
the
Training...
The 214-hour mobile crane training program combines classroom
and field instruction as part of a nationally-recognized curriculum
developed by the National Center for Construction Education and
Research (NCCER). NCCER curricula consist of modular,
competency-based courses designed by industry experts and taught by
NCCER-accredited instructors. The course is comprised of 142 hours
of classroom instruction and 72 hours of hands-on-training. The cost
of the training is $5500 for all three levels. See below.
Course Offerings
Mobile Crane Operations Level One (NCCER)
Consists Of the following Modules:
Orientation to the Trade, Basic Principles of Operations, Basic
Principles of Rigging, Mathematics for Mobile Crane Operations,
Rigging and Crane Safety.
Mobile Crane Operations Level Two (NCCER)
Consists of the following Modules:
Site Conditions and Setup, Communications, Computer Aids/ Operator
Aids, Load Dynamics, Machine Power Flow, Preventive Maintenance,
Wire Rope, On-Site Equipment Movement.
Mobile Crane Operations Level Three (NCCER)
Consists of the following Modules:
Comprehensive Load/Capacity Charts, Basic Operations Techniques,
Hydraulic/Telescopic Boom Assembly, Advanced Operation Techniques,
Emergency Procedures, Lift Planning, Hoisting Personnel, Lattice
Boom Assembly, Transporting Requirements
Any of the above Mobile
Crane Operations modules may be taken as a single class if
requested.
