![]() PROGRAM OVERVIEW York Technical Colleges Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Mechanics programs train students for entry-level positions in residential and commercial service companies. The one-year Diploma (day) and Certificate (night) programs provide fundamental skills in the installation, service, and repair of residential heating and cooling equipment. The two-year Associate in Occupational Technology Degree (day) provides additional advanced training in heat pumps, electrical troubleshooting, system design, and commercial equipment. PROGRAM ACCREDITATION Technical standards are published for each program in the Industrial and Engineering Technologies Division which identify the essential non-academic requirements that students must meet in order to successfully complete program competencies.
