The Education Technology
Center is to support
faculty in their endeavors to integrate technology into the learning
process. This goal includes the following: professional development
opportunities, applying technologies in the learning environment, and
providing technical support and services.
The future of learning focuses on the
student as a learner and the faculty member as the facilitator. Effective
instructional approaches include integration of technologies into the
learning process. In order to provide a learning-centered environment,
instructors must become proficient in adapting and using teaching
methodologies that facilitate learning.
The Education Technology
Center is one means of
encouraging and supporting the use of technology for teaching and learning.
The Center can serve as a training classroom for workshops, a development lab
for computer and video projects, and a resource for teaching and learning
materials.
