INTERLIBRARY LOAN

PASCAL Delivers        |        WorldCat

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is the process by which a library requests material from, or supplies material to, another library. The purpose of interlibrary loan as defined by the American Library Association is to obtain, upon request of a library user, material not available in the user's local library. This service is available to all YTC students and employees, guests should contact their local public library.  If an ILL request requires a transaction fee, payment will be required before placing the order.

To Place an ILL follow these steps:

  1. Check  your County Public Library. If available at your public library, you can go to the branch and pick it up with your library card.
  2. Check at Winthrop University. We have a borrowing agreement with Winthrop, print the book information and bring it to the YTC library desk. We will complete a form that will allow you to go to Winthrop and pick up the book. You will need to return the book to us a couple of days before it is due so it can be returned to them on time.
  3. Once available, you will be able to check PASCAL Delivers
  4. Go to WorldCat, find the item you would like to request, print the book information and bring it to the YTC library desk.

Allow two weeks to receive the material(s).

Overdue fines are $0.50 per day past the due date up to a maximum of $15.00 per item or the replacement cost for each item.
