TUTOR APPLICATION

Want to be a tutor? Come join our team of both peer and professional tutors. Professional tutors have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the subject area tutored. Many of our professional tutors are also instructors here at York Tech.

Peer tutors are Tech students who are interested in tutoring and have at least a B average in the course tutored. Students must also receive a recommendation from an instructor of the subject.

Please call or stop by the Tutoring Center for a tutor application and more information. We encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity to gain teaching and employment skills that can be helpful in your career.

The Tutoring Center also offers CRLA (College Reading & Language Association) tutoring certification. This certification process can assist you in developing tutoring skills which can lead to a salary increase and can also become a helpful addition to your resume.
