The Tutoring Center provides three types of tutoring for students.

Drop-in tutoring:

Students can check the open lab drop-in schedule for available tutoring hours in each subject area and simply stop by or drop-in to receive tutoring.  For example, math tutoring may be offered on Mon., Wed. and Fridays from 11:00-3:00 and from 5:00-7:00 on the schedule.  You can come at any time during these hours and a tutor will be available to assist you.  Just bring your book and materials, have a seat at a table, and sign in.  A tutor will rotate from student to student and provide needed assistance.

Check with the receptionist in the Student Support Services area or the Tutor Coordinator  in room 302 for assistance to locate appropriate tutoring rooms for open lab tutoring.

Individual tutoring:

Individual tutoring or one-to-one tutoring is available for students who are in special programs such as Leap and Student Support Services.  Individual tutoring is offered in one hour sessions and is more in-depth and intensive tutoring.  Students must review and sign a contract to meet any special program requirements.  Cancellation and no-show policies must be adhered to and students receive follow-up monitoring by program counselors.   Please check with the Tutor Coordinator  if you would like more information about eligibility for individual tutoring.

Virtual tutoring:

Students can email questions for tutors in math and English.  The Tutoring Center will attempt to answer questions within 24 hours for York Tech students.

In order to answer your question, the following information is needed:
