Welcome to York
Technical College
We hope
to make this process as easy as possible for you. York Technical College
looks forward to working with you to provide you with a high quality
online class that meets your educational goals.
Please
follow the steps below to enroll in a YTC online class.

Step 1:
Complete the VESA form located on the
Sloan
Semester page.

Step
2: Upon verification of your student
information, your VESA will be forwarded to York Technical College.

Step 3:
You will be admitted to YTC by an admissions counselor and be
registered for your class/ classes.

Step 4:
You will receive a letter by email giving you specific information
about how to begin your class/classes. There is also information
available in the "Getting Started with WebCT" link in the left hand
column of this page. If you are not familiar with WebCT, there are "WebCT
Videos" available in the link to the left of this page. If

Step
5:
Order your textbook from the York Technical
College
online bookstore.

4:
Check this
calendar link to determine the first day of class. The
Calendar is on the left under Around Campus .

Step 5:
Log into your class on the first day of class. Go to
http://www.yorktech.com and
click on Current Students. Then click on the Distance Learning/WebCT
page. On the top left side you will see a link to get your username
and password. You will need to know your Colleague ID which you can
get by
checking any information you received in the mail from York
Technical College, or you can receive it by entering your
last name and social security number when
clicking here. Make sure your
instructor knows you are located outside of SC so your
tests will be sent to the appropriate Assessment Center.

Step 6:
Upon successful completion of your online class, contact Kelli Dawkins
by email or phone
(803-327-8047). Ms. Dawkins will assist you in getting your transcript
information sent to the correct place.
