More than 90 people gathered at the Cotton Factory in downtown Rock Hill on Tuesday, February 16, to hear Jason Broadwater's presentation about how Facebook, Linked-in, Twitter, blogging, and even Google can be used to expand small business? outreach and customer service.
Jason explained that one should keep their personal Facebook account separate from their business one. He showed Revenflo's Facebook page and the types of information that were appropriate. Demonstrating his blog, he discussed how writing articles that were informative could attract followers who may become customers. Jason stressed the importance of making value-added postings and not just glib ramblings that one often sees on Facebook and Twitter. His Twitter account is used to publicize the fact that he has a new article posted on his blog. He also demonstrated how businesses can set up profiles on Google so that their business gets listed when someone searches for a topic related to their business and the location.
Thi's Catering of Rock Hill provided the hors d'oeuvres.
