Academy Program is a comprehensive, eight-semester, 560-hour curriculum
that uses a combination of web-based, instructor-led learning and hands-on
labs to teach students networking and information technology. The program
is aligned with national math and science standards, as well as with basic
workforce competencies as defined by SCANS skills. Through this program,
students learn how to design, build and maintain computer
networks. There are currently two
types of certifications for the Networking Academy program- Cisco
Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network
Professional (CCNP). To obtain CCNA certification, a student must complete
the first four semesters of the Networking Academy program and
successfully pass the Cisco Certified Network Associate exam. York Technical College
is currently conducting the four-semester, 280-hour CCNA program. The courses are entitled IST 201,
IST 202, IST 203, and IST 204.
Completion of these four courses prepares the student to take the
CCNA certification examination.
Students completing these four courses will also receive a
Certificate in Network Operations. Cisco Threaded Case Studies: | TCS-1 | TCS-2 | TCS-3 | TCS-4 | TCS-5 | TCS-6 | TCS-7 | For more information, visit www.cisco.com/edu/academy |
