Welding GT Degree

The General Technology Degree with a major in Welding is designed to provide the graduate with multi-craft skills. These multi-craft skills present the graduate with increased job opportunities by training the graduate in more than one technology area. To accomplish this, the Degree consists of twenty-eight (28) credit hours from Welding courses, twelve (12) credit hours from a second technical specialty area, and twelve (12) credit hours of other approved courses. In addition, English, mathematics, history, economics, psychology and college orientation courses are required.

Following is the General Technology Degree with a major in Welding model. Following the model is a schedule of the course offerings. Please note that all technical courses are offered only once during the year.

Courses from other programs such as, HVAC/R, Industrial Electricity/Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, Machine Tool Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, etc., may be substituted for courses marked with an (* or **). This allows the student to "customize" their General Technology Degree to provide the most appropriate education to meet their needs.
