USDOL Registered Apprenticeships

 York Technical College is now assisting companies interested in applying for a USDOL Registered Apprenticeship for one or more of their work/occupation areas.  Nationwide, more than 900 occupations in a wide range of industries have registered apprenticeship programs.  A registered apprenticeship program is recognized by the federal government, which ensures that the training meets federally approved standards for job duties, related academic instruction, wages, and safety conditions.  Certifications earned through DOL Registered Apprenticeship programs are recognized nationwide as portable industry credentials.  If you are interested in finding out more about DOL Registered Apprenticeships contact Mary Sanderson at 803-981-7020.

 

 

 

 

The INDUSTRIAL AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES program serves both the individual student and business/industry client through a wide range of standard and customized courses of study.  Training is offered in either an open-to-the-public format or can be tailored toward the individual needs of a company or business.  Participants include incumbent employees, individuals seeking skill upgrades within their profession or individuals exploring or beginning a new career field.

Public course offerings vary each semester, and include study and possible certification preparation or
re-certification in Safety, Water/Wastewater, Refrigerant Recovery, Logistics, APICS, Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma.
