AP and CLEP CreditStudents enrolled at York Technical College may apply to receive exemption credit for Advanced Placement (AP) subject area tests. The AP chart lists the courses for which there are comparable York Technical College courses. Other subject area AP tests not listed may receive exemption credit for a score of 3 or more. Students should consult with the academic department manager for their program to determine if the exemption credit must arrange to have their official AP scores sent from the College Board Testing Service to the Academic Records Office. Students also have the option to apply to receive exemption credit for College Level Examination Program (CLEP) subject area tests. The CLEP chart lists the courses for which there are comparable York Technical College courses. Exemption for CLEP subject area exams is only granted for courses for which there is a comparable York Technical College course. Students who wish to receive AP exemption credit must arrange to have their official CLEP scores sent from the College Board Testing Service to the Academic Records Office. The York Technical College Assessment Center administers CLEP exams for a fee.
