York Technical College students who are enrolled in a credit program are linked to an Academic Program Evaluation. The Program Evaluation is a course of study designed by the student’s institution.  The Program Evaluation gathers numerous attributes of the student's profile together under one "umbrella".  These attributes, such as degree and specialization are linked to the student when the student is assigned to a program.   

The Program Evaluation or "Degree Audit" can be used as a way to measure an individual's progress toward completion of a program.  A student must complete these requirements, which can be a combination of coursework and non-course work, to finish the academic program.

 A program is associated with a year that identifies the graduate requirements for students entering that academic year.  A student is assigned to one active program at a time.

When reviewing the Program Evaluation, please note the following areas: program name, major, catalog year, advisor name and any accompanying notes, academic requirements associated with program, completed courses and grades and any courses that are remaining, and the institutional & program GPA.

It is important to run your Program Evaluation every semester.  By staying up to date on the status of your coursework, you will be prepared for registration and be on the right path to meeting your graduation requirements.
