Residential Construction Academy Series: National Registry

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is a Washington, DC-based trade association representing more than 211,000 residential home building and remodeling industry members. Known as the "voice of the housing industry," the NAHB is affiliated with more than 800 state and local home builders' associations across the country.

The Home Builders Institute (HBI) is the workforce development arm of the NAHB and promotes the home building industry as a career and helps address its workforce needs through trades training and job placement.

The NAHB Building Careers Job Bank is a service and member benefit for NAHB members to address the need for qualified employees in the housing industry. It is the industry's premier resource for job seekers and employers alike. Job seekers can search jobs by category, location, and/or trade. Employers can register and post job openings, as well as search through resumes to find qualified employees.

Upon successful completion of Residential Construction Academy Series instruction from a credentialed educational institution* or industry training program, you can enter your contact information, post a resume, and reserve your place in the National Registry.  The registry is a nationwide recruitment tool that lists students who have successfully completed series instruction and provides HBI access to verify skills and competencies achieved.  You have the capability to update your information in the registry, by accessing your password-protected account information at any time, should your contact information change, or as you complete additional coursework.  The registry also links residential construction industry employers directly to an up-to-date online database of resumes of qualified potential employees.  Employers can search the database by any number of criteria, including programs completed.
