Information about online tutoring:
The
new Writing and Reading Center is excited to announce that
online writing tutoring is now available! Students
who would
like to submit a rough draft at any stage of the writing process
for online tutoring need to fill out the
Student Request Form.
Then, please save that document and
attach it in an email to
writingcenter@yorktech.edu. Please make sure to also attach
a copy of your rough draft in the email.
Because of the availability of tutors and the potential volume of essays, we will need a 5 business day turn-around for online tutoring, so it is important to submit an essay far in advance of its due date. Feedback for your paper will be emailed back to you using the email address you submit your essay from. You will get the same type of feedback you would get in an appointment at the Writing and Reading Center.
This service will allow access to tutoring and coaching services to students from other YTC campus locations and will give students with difficult schedules a chance to access tutoring.
Check back soon for more information on this new service from the ACT Center.
