The best way to determine if the Wireless Configuration service is running on your computer is by using the Computer Management facility. Follow the steps below to verify that the service is running:
1. Right-click on My computer
2. Select Manage
3. Under services and applications, select services
4. Look for the service Wireless Configuration
5. Make sure that it is started and that the startup type is set to automatic. If it isn't, right-click on the service and select properties and set it to startup automatically. Remember to start the service if it is not already started.
