Professional Licensure and Certification Disclosures

York Technical College offers programs that may prepare students to pursue professional licensure or certification. Educational requirements vary by state and jurisdiction. Before enrolling, students should review the determination for the state or jurisdiction where they intend to work and contact the appropriate licensing agency for the most current requirements.

Important: A determination that a program meets educational requirements does not guarantee licensure or certification. Applicants may also need to satisfy examinations, background checks, supervised experience, fees, applications, or other requirements established by the licensing authority.

Understanding the Determination

Program Disclosures

Student location and individualized notices

York Tech determines a student's location at initial enrollment and when the College formally receives information that the student's location has changed. When required, York Tech provides an individualized written notice before enrollment or within 14 calendar days after determining that an enrolled student's program does not meet the educational requirements in the student's location.

Requirements may change

Licensure and certification requirements are subject to change. Students who intend to pursue licensure or certification outside South Carolina should contact the appropriate licensing agency before enrolling and again before completing the program.

NC-SARA participation

York Technical College participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA participation does not replace or override the professional licensing requirements established by individual states or jurisdictions.
